Linn County Billboards: What have you heard about fentanyl?

The Linn Together Fentanyl Task Force is sponsoring a series of local billboards urging parents to talk to their teens about the risks of fentanyl.

You’ve likely heard about the dangers of fentanyl, but may be unsure what information your teen needs to know. A good starting point to ask your teen, “What have you heard about fentanyl?” If they mention specific information, check and discuss the facts.

Explain to your teen that knowing about fentanyl helps people stay safe. Listen to any questions or concerns they may have.

Urge your children not to use any medications not prescribed to them. Let them know that even a pill from a friend is not safe. For more information on the risks of fentanyl, visit the DEA’s website One Pill Can Kill.

Linn Together is providing fentanyl facts and conversation starters to help guide your conversation. These facts and conversation starters are also available to Linn County schools and organizations as card sets. Please email info@linntogether.org to order.
