10 Ways for Teens to Beat Winter Boredom
Winter doesn’t have to mean boredom! The Linn County STAND Youth Council came up with fun, healthy ways for teens to stay active and entertained this season. Try one of their ideas with a teen in your life!

🧣 Indoor Snowball Battle
Roll up socks or use soft pom-poms for an epic “snow” fight.
☕ Hot Cocoa Taste Test
Line up different flavors — peppermint, cinnamon, marshmallow overload — and rate them.
🎿 Sock Skating Championships
Clear the hallway, put on fuzzy socks, and glide like a pro.
🕵️ Snowflake Scavenger Hunt
Hide paper snowflakes around the house with silly challenges written on them (“Do 5 penguin waddles”).
🍪 Bake-Off Blizzard
Pick one cookie recipe and have a bake-off to see whose version turns out best.

Make a time capsule and fill it with things that represent your life right now, or write a letter to your future self.
