DEA National Drug Take Back Day is October 25, 2025
Turn in unneeded medication for safe disposal.

Saturday, October 25th is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and the Linn County Sheriff’s Office will have several drop-off sites set up around the county. These sites can be used to dispose of any unwanted, unused, or expired medications in your home.
Accepted: Any type of prescription or over-the-counter medications are acceptable collections. Make sure lids are on tightly if they are liquid.
Not Accepted: Intravenous solutions, injectables, syringes, medical waste and any type of needles are not accepted.

Halsey City Hall – 1:00-2:00 pm (100 Halsey St)
Harrisburg City Hall – 2:30-3:30 pm (120 Smith St)
Mill City, City Hall – 9:00 – 10:00 am (444 S.1st Ave)
Scio Fire Hall – 10:30-11:30 am (38975 SW 6th Ave)
